A few more Christmas observations…

After a morning of making biscuits – which ended up as biscuit balls due to the exceptionally gooey dough I was dealing with…

…I dressed myself for a walk into town (due to needing to collect a hairbrush that wasn’t in the completely disintegrated and unusable state mine was), and at 2.20pm, it was 2 degrees, I had the hat that makes my head sweat (no matter what the temperature) on, and headed out.

There was thick frost on the pavements where the sun hadn’t shone, the tennis courts and the park at the top of the towns high street were icy, a BMW driving up it had a window ½ open and extremely odd noises (presumably meant to be music) coming out, and everywhere was really busy.

The Rotary Club had a table by the massive and very pointy fake tree in the shopping centre – where there was also a sleigh and someone dressed as Santa in it…

A stall of ‘Wicked Cookies’ was about 100m away from the couple of chairs always there – where eyebrow threading is done….

Clintons was selling things called ‘light up gonks’…

…and a Calandar Club stall had a huge amount stuffed on to it….

There was a Windmill Hill Brewing Company pop up shop selling mini kegs; and Walnut and Weave opposite was selling Christmas Dinky Duckys…

…then in Marks and Spencers the amount of alcohol was unbelievable (as well as rolls and rolls of Percy Pig wrapping paper).

The last place I stuck my head into was called The Flying Tiger – and they had ‘Toiletdart Bathroom darts’ and toilet basketball sets, remote controlled sharks, soap bubble machines, and enormous numbers of strange baubles for sale (hot dog shaped, avocado shaped, croissant shaped, and many many more)…

…and observing all of that meant it was 3.25pm, and the sun was starting to set when I started heading home.
