This was the technique used to attempt some apple harvesting – due to the height and awkward position of them (using a walking stick to wobble the branches and then catching them in a rug…

…… and it’s also the time of year when the 2 chickens at the end of the garden start their annual moult….

…and it’s around a month until they’re fully feathered again!
