A day of over 200 photos began with a loudly twittering robin on the garden fence…

…followed by a walk (passing this already summery like tree) to a nearby nature reserve while rain was getting heavier…

…and due to my notepad getting soggy (and muddy – due to me dropping it – which I think adds to its authenticity in these conditions), I stuffed it up my waterproof and took over 200 photos. Google Lens identified this furry canine as a Shar-Pei…

…and these little yellow things as Gorse (traditionally used for hedging).

A swan just getting out of the lake was looking a bit miserable…

…and thankfully, Mum had put her wellies on!

There were a few more signs of spring when the cloud began to clear…

…I discovered hyacinths are part of the asparagus family!…

…and this variety of big mushroom can be used for dying materials.

Some very slimey slugs were venturing out from an exceptionally soggy hole in a tree trunk on our road…

… and the cloud was clearing for a much sunnier afternoon when we made it home again.
