These little red flowers are already bringing a bit of Christmas feeling to the ancient churchyard just down the road

The last bit of the latest autumn sunset silhouettes over local streets…

An attempt I made following a request for a nut roast to be created in the house (this was edible!)

A couple of swans enjoying each others company at a nearby nature reserve – one’s on lookout duty while the other tackles the murky depths for breakfast…

Spotting these meant I learnt a little bit about mushrooms called honey fungus…

A few little bits of autumnal colour remain on the trees following the recent storms – and the reflection of the sky is an impressive one by this little country stream.

And there’s a proper British autumn palette being made by the leaves gathering on the ground at the moment…

This is the local robin – who enjoys doing some loud morning twittering in our garden…

Some seriously intricate engineering by the local spiders (a few of whom were visible out braving the frost!)

And this impressive mound of all sorts of root vegetables is all (and there’s over five hundred of them) hand knitted! (I’m still trying to teach myself the basics of knitting).
