January’s Favourite Photos

This unripened (and uneaten by the birds) blackberry that’s survived the winter looked a little more sparkly thanks to the morning frost…

This well built – and surprisingly tall! – snowman had a small companion and an unusual hairstyle (and may’ve lost an ear since construction)…

A bird house a little lost in the frosty garden foliage (some refurbishment is planned before spring)…

I did some experimental baking (fluffy Japanese pancakes rather than crumpets) when the fire was lit and what could be stuck on the toasting fork was considered…

A very wintery garden scene  (but there’s already evidence of Spring elsewhere amidst the plants!)

A well wrapped up mother and child down at the park were getting very popular with all the birds (and pigeons were getting a bit pushy once aware of the crumbs available)…

These animals look ready for a very posh garden party – proper British eccentricity on display!

This butterfly looks like it’s very well practiced in camouflage…

…but I was allowed a quick photoshoot.

And this is Edward the Woolly Elephant (I was told he wanted to read a Sunday paper and sit by the fire).
