Julys top 10 photos

What I’m reasonably sure is a damselfly investigating a blackberry flower (I’ve now learnt that these insects aren’t pollinators, they’re predators of flies, mosquitos and other small insects)….

….but this one is a pollinator…

…and there was a massive diversity of wildlife while strolling round Brandon Marsh (a Site of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserve).

Technology called a heterodyne bat detector to allow humans to hear ultrasonic bat calls (used on a walk to educate us on bats and their biology)…

…done in the scenic landscape of Compton Verney
