My English autumnal observations of September

This clever little butterfly is demonstrating excellent skills of how camoflague can be done amidst fallen holly leaves.

The squelchyness of a puddle just had to be demonstrated while with the proper English wellington boots on…

The 3 new feathery residents in the garden hen house are providing us with excellent egg supplies…

…meaning preserving methods for some has had to be investigated.

Some good old English humour on a farm yard gate (I thought I might’ve been the most wanted person in the neighbourhood for simply being observant that day!)

This good old trunk is showing off its heart, even after it’s fallen. It was stumbled upon while exploring some more of the English countryside.

A slimy garden traveller taking a slow and scenic way through the garden foliage…

Some of the good old countryside of this country, captured while out and about amidst the hills for a day

…with some of its good old hairy inhabitants enjoying the intermittent autumnal sunshine.

Items including a ration book, cookery leaflets, and dried milk tins – seen (amongst a lot of other things) during a recent day out at Bletchley Park learning about the enemy message intercepting and code breaking done there during World War 2

And experimentation with my accidental recipe creations has continued (as by the time I’ve unintendedly created them I can’t remember what bit of the recipe I got wrong). They always turn out edible!
